Basic Candle Making: All the Skills and Tools You Need to Get Started

By Eric Ebeling

This is one of the best introductions to candle making that I've ever seen. It concentrates on the basics, hence the name, and is geared to the novice candle maker without going into advanced topics. It offers detailed step by step instructions on how to make container candles, molded candles, dripped candles, and rolled beeswax candles. And includes common mistakes and how to avoid them. The instructions are in clear English and feature detailed photographs. Sections of the book include equipment you'll need, safety information, and how to set up your work area. It even gives you estimated prices for many of the items recommended. All sections are color coded, so you can easily find the information you need. Included are a color mixing chart and fragrance mixing chart. The book's spiral bound, so you can easily lay it open in front of you as you work. If you're interesting in making your own candles, but don't know where to start, this is the book for you!
